Prayer

Prayer is often called the 'powerhouse’ of the church.

Praying is perhaps the most important activity for Christians, and united prayer is a powerful tool.

On Wednesday of each week between 10.00 a.m. and 10.30 a.m.you are invited to join with us in the side chapel of the Sanctuary, for a period of prayer. Do come if you can - pray with us if you can’t manage along.

Our current Prayer Focus

Jeremiah 29: v 11 New International Version (NIV)

For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper

you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Our God, is a God of new beginnings.  As we give Him thanks for the year

past let’s pray, that with the help of the Holy Spirit, we will in the

New Year walk more closely with Him and trust our future to Him completely.

We pray in the name of Jesus for

Courage for those who are afraid or anxious

Comfort for those suffering loss

Healing for those in pain of body or mind

Refuge for the homeless and displaced

Safety for those in our Armed Forces and Emergency Services

Wisdom for those who have power

And for Peace, tolerance and understanding between all peoples.

Amen
